It's been a minute...well technically 17 months (ugh that's embarrassing)

Yep, life got in the way and this poor little blog was it’s first victim. A lot has changed in the last year and a half. We welcomed a new baby boy into our family. Baby Emrys is our 3rd boy and he arrived in mid-December…right in the thick of holiday sessions! We couldn’t be happier! It’s kind of nuts to think we have 3 children. They are all so different and beautiful in their own way. You would think I have a bajillion pro photos of my little dudes but I don’t. I mean, I have a metric TON of iPhone photos (lazy mom). To re-start things off, here are a few (non iPhone) pics of my little fellas! I’ll be back tomorrow with a work session to blog. Enjoy!

Happy New Year + Baca Twins Senior Session

It's so hard to believe that we are already in 2018!  2017 was a fabulous and busy year for us here at GLP.  The last few months were so crazy I unintentionally put my blog on the back burner.  I can't believe the last time I blogged was August (smacks head)!  I think I'll kick off the new year of blogging with a really special senior photo session I did back in October.  Just wait until you see these two beauties!!  This session took place only 13 days after both of these girls were shot at the Route 91 Harvest music festival.....can you imagine!?  Their spirit and strength to press on was so moving. Here are a few highlights from this very special session.  Enjoy!

Waiting for baby!

Pregnancy is a strange and beautiful thing.  You go from happy, to sad, to ambitious, to nervous, to excited, to elated, to frustrated to elated again...you get the picture.  The last thing on my mind when I was pregnant with my two boys was getting dolled up for photos.  I mean...shave my legs?!?! Ha!!!! I totally regret not doing it though.  As my clients helped me discover through my photography career, it's not just about pretty pictures, it's about the moments.  This shoot was just that!  Enjoy!

Jose and Amanda Salazar's Wedding Preview!

This past weekend in Malibu was dazzling! We are still swooning over this beautiful couple and their perfect wedding.  The music, vibe, details, location, bride, groom, wedding party and well...everything was so good it was almost hard to believe!! Here some of the preview shots I sent to the happy couple. Enjoy!

Mason's model sesh!

It was only a matter of time before Mason's parents came to me for some modeling photos. When you know, you know!  This kids adorableness is RIDICULOUS! I've been shooting him for almost a year now and it just keeps getting better.  Here are a few snaps from his first, of many, commercial shoots. Enjoy!

Alex and Russel's Wedding in Henderson, NV (Sneak peek)

Talk about the most chill couple ever!  I'm so used to walking into the hotel room for the pre-ceremony captures and witnessing chaos....not always but most of the time.  This wedding was just the opposite!

The bride, Alex, created all the details, from the flowers to the signage, herself.   Let me tell you, she did an amazing job!  It never ceases to amaze what can be done with a little imagination and a legit pinterest library.

This was my first time shooting at the Henderson Convention Center.  I really didn't know what to expect and I must admit i was blown away at how beautiful the ceremony site was!

Here are a few of the sneak peeks that I sent the newlyweds.  I couldn't wait to share!

Enjoy!

Angie and Ryan's Engagement Session!

There was wind....there was so much wind, but that didn't stop us!  Even when mother nature doesn't cooperate we try our hardest to make it work.  This worked!  Our location was about an hour outside of Vegas....it was so worth the drive!  We pulled up and noticed a field of flowers were in bloom below the stunning red stones. It was the perfect backdrop for such a perfect couple.  Headpiece by Young Wild and Free.  Enjoy!

Chiara's Senior Session!

We don't like to do typical, especially with a beauty like Chiara!  We had this grand idea of going to the Seven Magic Mountains art installation in Jean, NV to take Ms. Chiara's senior portraits, but when we got there, mother nature did not want to play and quickly blew us out of town!  We managed to snap a few shots before rushing out and heading to the our backup location before sunset.   Enjoy!

Jacy and Nicks Desert Elopement

This is one of those "got it" couples.  You know those made for each other, probably flirting after 50 years of marriage, connected at the cellular level types. I never had the chance to meet them before their wedding day, but the second I saw them I knew I was in for the real thing.  I've done a bunch of elopements now and they are my absolute favorite.  Not because they're easy to shoot or shorter in time, but because I feel so privileged to be one of the few people to witness this life altering moment.  I really feel part of it.  I always keep a special connection with my eloped couples and Jacy and Nick are no exception.  Enjoy!

Sofia and Bob's Downtown Las Vegas Wedding

We will be doing a bit of back-blogging in attempt to catch up with all the time we slacked!  So today we meet Bob and Sofia from one of our 2016 weddings!  When we first met Sofia and Bob we knew it was a perfect match!  They both have an intense love for music, the arts, and of course...each other.  We shot their engagement photos downtown at 11th street records and then their wedding at the Downtown Grand and 5th Street School.  The ceremony and reception were supposed to take place in the courtyard of the school, but mother nature interrupted their plans!  Everyone rallied at the last second and moved the celebration inside.  It may not be what they planned but it was more perfect than they ever imagined.  Enjoy these highlights from Sofia and Bob's downtown wedding. Cheers!

Our Blog is Live!

To kick this bad boy off we are going to feature one of our favs from the Holiday Sessions! This is the Sciara family from Las Vegas.  I grew up with Jen, the gorgeous mother, and I have had the pleasure of photographing them for the past two years.   To be honest, it's hard to take a bad photo of this uber fashionable family!  I mean, how cute are those kiddos!!!  Enjoy!
